Description:
A liquid is filled in a bottle and placed in the
cavity of the sensor. The sensor measures color from the liquid optically.
4 light flashes red, yellow, green, and blue are used to measure color RED
= red GRE = green
YEL = yellow BLU
= blue

User Instructions: 1. Using DOS, follow old well known rules. 2. Using Windows: use the hyper terminal. Start > Programs > Accessories > Communication > Hyper Terminal Click on hyperterminal.exe and then make a new connection with any name Use the following information: Direct to com-1. 19200 bd, 8 bits, no parity, stop bit 1, flow control Xon/Xoff. On the hyper terminal, go to 'File > Properties > Settings > ASCII' From there got to 'Settings > Setup > Check Echo and Wrap'
Connect your port with the senor via a RS232 cable, click OK, sensor responds immediately as follows:
3. This can be done using any professional programs like WinWdege, WonderWare, Labview, Daisy etc... 4. Using USB to RS232 to USB connections are available on the market. Connect +5 Volts from USB into pin No. 9 in RS 232.

Personalize: Like any analytical instrument there are many other things you can do with it. The output from your measurement shows in the PC and instead of using the calculated data’s from the sensor you can create your own calibration by using the formulas above or other manipulations. Typical applications are the use of the measured values and the interpretation for different properties like clarity for beverages or for specific factors in the petroleum industry.
Calibration: To calibrate to any master and go with the formulas above or any standard in your PC by ignoring the existing data coming in from the sensor. You always can use the values from the sensor as default. You can calculate the new values or put the formula in your PC software. |
